General Editing Questions

1. What types of editing do you offer?
We offer developmental editing, voice & clarity editing, proofreading, style sheet creation, and feedback calls. You can book these individually (à la carte) or as part of a bundled package.

2. How do I know which editing service I need?
If you're unsure, start with a quote request. We’ll review your manuscript and guide you toward the best fit based on your goals and where your draft is in the process.

3. What’s the difference between à la carte and package services?
À la carte is for writers who need one specific service. Packages are for those who want full editing support—from big-picture structure to final polish.

Editing Packages

4. What’s included in an editing package?
Each package includes developmental editing (if needed), voice & clarity editing, proofreading, a style sheet, and an optional feedback call. Packages are based on word count and manuscript length.

5. What if my manuscript is longer than the package limit?
We offer add-on pricing for longer manuscripts:

$10–$15 per additional page beyond 120 pages
Or $25–$40 per additional 1,000 words

You’ll receive a custom quote before booking.

À La Carte Services

6. What’s the word count limit for à la carte services?

Each à la carte service covers up to 15,000 words (~60 pages). If your manuscript exceeds that, you can request a custom quote and upload your file for review.

7. Can I mix and match à la carte services?
Absolutely! You can book just what you need—whether it’s a final proofread or a voice & clarity edit. We’ll help you build a plan that fits your goals.

Feedback Calls

8. What are feedback calls for?
Feedback calls are phone sessions where we walk through your edits, answer questions, and help you plan next steps. They’re available as add-ons or included in packages.

9. How long are the calls?
You can book 20-minute or 60-minute sessions depending on your needs. Calls must be scheduled within 14 days of receiving your edits.

Pricing & Payment

10. How do I request a quote?
Use our quote request form and upload your manuscript. We’ll review your file and respond with a transparent, tailored quote.

11. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We want editing to be accessible. Just let us know what works for you.

12. What’s your refund policy?

Deposits are non-refundable once editing begins
Partial refunds may be issued if a project is canceled before work starts
No refunds after full delivery of services
We encourage open communication to resolve any concerns

Publishing Support

13. Do you help with formatting or publishing?
We offer guidance on ISBNs, KDP setup, and indie-friendly publishing tips. Formatting may be available as an add-on—just ask!

14. Is my manuscript confidential?
Yes. All submissions are treated with care and confidentiality. You retain full rights to your work.

15. What if I need help after edits are delivered?

You’ll have 30 days to review your edits and ask questions. Feedback calls are available to walk through suggestions and next steps

Book Cover Design

16.Do you offer book cover design? We collaborate with trusted designers to help you create a cover that reflects your story’s tone and genre. You’ll receive guidance on style, mood, and visual branding. Custom quotes available.

17. Can I request a cover consultation even if I’m not ready to publish? Yes! We offer visual branding consultations to help you explore ideas, color palettes, and font choices—even if your book isn’t quite ready for launch.

18. Do you help with copyright filing? We provide guidance on how to file your copyright through the U.S. Copyright Office, including what materials to submit and how to protect your work. Filing services may be available as an add-on.

19. Is my manuscript protected when I send it to you?Yes. All submissions are treated with care and confidentiality. You retain full rights to your work, and we never share or reproduce your content.

Writing Coaching

20.Do you offer writing coaching? Yes! We offer coaching sessions to help you overcome creative blocks, refine your voice, and stay aligned with your goals. Coaching can be booked separately or added to your editing package.

21. What does a coaching session include? Each session is tailored to your needs—whether it’s brainstorming, accountability, emotional support, or craft development. You’ll leave with clarity, confidence, and next steps.
